Effective date: October 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [Organizer Name] (the "Organizer") for the WaffleBot Raffle (the "Raffle"). When you claim a spot or make a payment, you agree to these terms.
1. All Payments Are Final
All payments are final. There are no refunds, for any reason. This includes if you change your mind, don't win, or the Raffle rolls over.
2. Payments Are Donations
Any money you pay is purely a donation. It is not a purchase of goods or services. Proceeds go to nonprofit organizations, including [Nonprofit Name]. Claiming a spot gives you a chance to win, but your payment is not a guarantee of any prize.
3. Unfilled Spots and Prize Rollover
The Raffle has 20 spots at $25 each. If all 20 spots are not filled, the current participants vote as a group on one of two options:
- Pay for the remaining spots: participants split the cost of the unfilled spots, and the draw goes ahead; or
- Roll over to the next raffle: current participants are entered into the next raffle, and the current prize rolls over. The next raffle then has 2 prizes.
The Organizer runs the vote and announces the result. Unless the Organizer announces a different rule beforehand, the majority wins.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to take part. The Raffle is open only where permitted by law and is void where prohibited. You are responsible for knowing whether you may take part where you live.
5. Fair Random Winner Selection
The Organizer starts the draw, but the winner is picked by the raffle server using a cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues). Every claimed spot has an equal chance. Everyone watching sees the same result. The animated game is picked at random, never the same game twice in a row. The games are for fun and do not change the odds.
6. Winner Notification and Claim Window
The Organizer will contact the winner using the contact details they gave. The winner has 14 days from notice to claim the prize. If the prize isn't claimed in time, the Organizer may hold a new draw or handle the prize at their discretion.
7. Payment Methods
We accept Crypto (Bitcoin), Cash App, and Venmo. The Organizer confirms each payment manually and marks the spot paid. A spot isn't confirmed until payment is received. Unpaid spots may be released. Include your spot number in the payment note.
8. Organizer's Right to Cancel or Modify
The Organizer may cancel, pause, or change the Raffle or these terms at any time, including if there's fraud, a technical problem, or a legal requirement. Changes will be posted on this page.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Raffle is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, the Organizer and [Nonprofit Name] are not liable for any loss or damage from taking part. This includes technical errors, payment-app problems, or lost or delayed messages. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid.
10. Privacy of Entrant Names
Your name appears on the spot board and in the draw history, so anyone who visits this page can see it. You may use a nickname. Any email or phone number you give is visible only to the Organizer. We use your information only to run the Raffle and will not sell it.
